Imagine spring time...

Very hard to do after looking outside but it's on it's way! 'Imagine' on the left was an experiment with a different type of ink, the colours inspired by one of Debenhams' current window displays (I see it most days on my way to work!) Lime green and black.

'Time' was using a stamp I've spent weeks wishing I had and then found I have it! After all that, I stamped it and realised I didn't like it so started to sand it off and liked it much better as more of a ghost image.

More from the Leeds collection...

This bracelet is really simple but needs to be as the charm/pendant is the main focus (and is really heavy!) Having looked at the photo I think it's calling for a bead or mini charm on the end of the chain dangle........no, wait, a KEY charm! ( I actually came up with that as I was typing!) Going to do that right now.

I've got everything crossed...

My creation with the beads from Leeds. Although not a direct copy it's heavily inspired by my favourite shop All Saints! I didn't have a clue what it was going to turn out like when I started, I just knew which beads and charms I wanted to use. I used some bright silver plated chain, Black Diamond Swarovski crystals and other charms from my stash. I'm really pleased with the outcome and still have loads of other bits left to play with!

Leeds Beeds

Treasure! I had a fabulous day trip to Leeds last week and came back with these beauties (amongst other things!) They're from a collection called 'Spirit of time past' and I love them! I have about a million ideas for what to do with them so it's going to need some careful consideration. I think I'll add in some Swarovski crystal beads from my stash to give it some sparkle, maybe Black Diamond and or Silver Shade.

It's only words

Some mini stampbord charms. They're 26cm x 8.5cm (approx) and fit the longer words perfectly! I have some ideas for finished pieces using them so watch this space!

Teal tea time

I love tea, especially tea from a china tea set! I put this small pendant on an 18" silver plated chain (with a Blue Zircon Swarovski crystal at the end of the extension chain) this one might end up in the personal collection!

I got the blues...

Only in an inky way! Four lovely little ones using my newest ink pad called 'Not Quite Navy' (love the name!) I mixed in some purples and blues for a bit of interest. I've used my current favourite french script stamp but this time as more of a background.

Pale and interesting

Three of my latest large pendants. I'm enjoying using the key image at the moment! It's the first time I've used the Morrocan style lantern (middle) on a pendant and I really like it. I think it would be really nice on a spicy red/orange/yellow background, I'll have to dig out the bright colours for that one!

A busy Sunday

This is how my desk looks after a very productive Sunday! I got really into it and ended up doing a bit of everything (and not clearing away inbetween - bad idea!) Anyway, I'm pleased with the things I made which are currently at various stages of dryness on the window sill. I'll wait for better light to photograph them.

Hope is the key

This one is ready to go as a necklace. I picked up on the rusty tones in the pendant and used dark red, dark brown and light brown 2mm cotton bootlace. They all fit nicely through the bail which means it won't move around lots and end up with the clasp at the front (how annoying is that?!)

Tempting trio

The latest pendants from the Tattered Rose factory. I love my new 'En Francaise' stamp. It's a huge stamp of French writing, I don't have a clue what it says but I love it! It works really well as a subtle background (pendant on the left) or as the main feature (pendant in the middle).

Zipadee-do-dah..

I got side tracked by these zips on a shopping trip for some yarn. I didn't know it was possible to buy them on their own and in such a good colour! I got some larger ones in the same colour too so watch out for a matching pendant!

...BREAKING NEWS...

Tattered Rose stampbord pendants and felt beads are now available to buy online! Check out The Bead Shop Nottingham's website. I'm in good company with other local artists making amazing polymer clay cupcakes, beads, resin pendants and dichroic glass. How exciting!

More mini marvels!

These are from the latest batch of mini pendant/charms. I've gone for a subtle sorbet colour scheme ready for spring (however as I type it's snowing outside so I may be jumping the gun a little on that one!) How cute is the little button stamp on the bottom left? There is a separate cross shaped stamp to go over the top so you can stamp the thread going through!

New toys!

From the latest collection of pendants. Inspired by my new designer paper from Stampin' up. It's called Nouveau Chic and I have the inks to go with it, 'Sage Shadow' and 'Not Quite Navy' (Fab names!) I've used a mixture of inks and really like the effects, the black really stands out when the gloss had dried. The paper would make some really nice glass pendants similar to the lace ones but I can't bare to cut into it just yet!
