Not my usual self...

Sorry for the lack of posts, I've not been feeling myself lately. Managed to do some bits today though. Ever since seeing a Stamping Up demonstator called Julie do these animals made using paper punches I've been obsessed! They're not my usual style at all but I think they're so cute. I created this little chick to go on a tag for some easter gifts and couldn't resist having a go at the penguin (he sneaked his way onto the photo!) perfect for dare I say it- Christmas or indeed my penguin mad sister-in-law's birthday.

Sad news

Yesterday we learned that the wonderful Mr Noah had died. Although his favourite pastime of mouse catching wasn't always appropriate we loved him dearly. We can only hope he now has an endless suppy of felix, green cat treats, warm laps and tickles behind the ear in the big cattery in the sky.

Coral Cogs

These are a combination of my new stamp set and ink pad (thanks Mum!) The ink is a gorgeous colour called Cameo Coral and it works with both brown and grey to give a slightly different look. The cogs are also fab. I stamped them in grey for the background and then black over the top (middle tile) which I think looks really effective.

3 Guesses...

I've gathered together some 'ingredients' to make a themed necklace for myself. Not something I usually do but I've been inspired by the current film (which I can't wait to see!) The necklace is on my list of things to do today so the finished piece won't be far away!

Blue Triptych

Some more blues. I tend to work on two or three pendants at a time hence the mini collections. I have some new stamps and ink to play with, so look out for some more brightly coloured summer inspired mini collections soon!
I had a great time at a Stampin' up event in Sheffield last night. I learned some fab new tricks which will probably filter into some pendants!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside...

Jeff and I on our mini holiday in Cumbria. We went to visit family and it was a lovely weekend, I just wish we could find the time to go more often!

My Inspiration

During my time at college in Chesterfield (in the days before I made jewellery) I would frequently drool over pieces by Diana Porter in the local independant contemporary jewellers. I recently had the urge to look her up on the net to see what wonders she may have created since then. Well, check out the 'Elements' collection, simply gorgeous. She, like me, enjoys using words in her work. I am lucky enough to own some special pieces from her 'on and on' collection (an 18th birthday gift) such simple and beautiful designs.

Happy dream earrings

Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! Foggy grey background, strong statement words in jet black with simple mini crystal diamantes. I thought about making them match but came to the conclusion that no two can ever be exactly the same so why try? I quite fancy a pair for myself but may add chain dangles (and some extra crystals!)

The smokey collection

Inspired by one of my favourite colours, grey! These are great as they go with anything. I took a risk with a couple as I used brown with grey which I wouldn't normally dream of doing but I really like the effect. The two with the aqua crystals have a hint of teal ink in them so they appear slightly blue/green/grey!

Handmade-ness is taking over the world!

Lace pendants are now avaliable at the Bead Shop Nottingham and online at They sit alongside super glittery resin pendants and almost edible cup cakes from the lovely Stitches and Stars! My personal favourites being the VERY glittery nickabockaglory and teal hearts! Teal AND glitter all in a pendant, what more could a girl ask for?

Getting more and more beautiful...

These gorgeous blush pink roses are what Jeff gave to me just before Valentine's day. He knows better than to get red ones for me!
