That Friday feeling...

Well it doesn't happen very often as I work on Saturdays but this week is different.  I really got that Friday feeling!  It's so nice to know I have two solid days off together!  It was a strange day at work as it was Chloe's last day, strange because it didn't feel any different but I'm sure it will on Monday when she's not there. She's off to be the new editor of Bead magazine and I wish her the best of luck with her amazing new adventure!

Tatty goes chunky!

I think being back at work is catching up with me, yesterday was a bit of a write off!  I did manage to get a little bit done in the morning though.  Above is a new style of necklace, one of a few I created for Effleurage Hair and Beauty in Langley Mill.  They feature lots of chunky rustic wooden beads, glossy pearl effect beads and lots of donut style spacers.  I made a few in this style for my hols and found them really nice to wear, a change from my beloved long necklaces!

Am I blushing?

Well I'm fully out of holiday mode and very much back to work!  Here are a couple of my latest pendants.  They have a subtle minty green background and a baby pink blush on the corner, a lovely pastel mix to show off the current favourite lace stamp!

Holiday random-ness...

The most elaborate cocktail in the world (just so you get the scale, that's a half pint glass at the side!)

Santorini measures only 28 square miles and I still managed to find a Bead Shop!

Just love these ramdom signs

No mediterranean holiday is complete without a stray cat (or two!)

Ah, bless!

Fancy a Tea Party...

If you're free on Thursday why not pop along to the Fabulous Places Blooming Great Tea Party at the lovely Shottle Hall. It's all in aid of a great charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Be sure to book your ticket to ensure you get your goodie bag!

Stunning Santorini

As promised here are a selection of holiday snaps (I get verry trigger happy with a camera so I took along time to choose these from the 337 pictures that we took!)
Our lovely hotel, we just had to cross the road to get to the beach, bliss!

The view from under our hand crafted palm leaf umberella

Fira, the capital of the island with its typical Greek style buildings

A sunset (one of many photos!)

Fira by night, so pretty

Still here!

Sorry for the lack of posts of late. Mr B and I have been sunning ourselves on the beautiful island of Santorini (Pics to follow...!)

I do have some exciting news to share............

Tattered Rose will be at the Denby Pottery Summer Food & Gift Fayre on the 28th, 29th & 30th August

It should be bigger and better than ever and will have a great selection of quality, locally produced gifts and foods.

There'll be a marquee, stalls, family activities and entertainment - all with free entry.

Hope to see you there!

Red hot..

In keeping with the current trends in the weather, here are some sunset inspired pendants.  Red isn't one of my favourite colours however I love this coral tone background.  I used the lovely lace stamp that I used on our wedding stationary and it looks very striking in black.  I have lots more mini collections just need the time to post them!  It's the annual stockstock at work tomorrow so I'm in need of an early night, counting lots of little beads with sleepy eyes is not easy!

Isn't it lovely when you have talented friends?!  Jess (of Stitches and Stars) has been busy making these delightful resin rose rings (easier to type than to say!)  As soon as I saw it I fell in love and Jess suggested we do a swap, 1 ring for 1 pendant - a great deal.  Now if I could only stop staring at my beautiful ring long enough to finish some pendants.........!

Work in progress...

This morning I was awake quite early and so set about replenishing the pendant stocks.  It all got a bit messy as I was so involved that I forgot to put my gloves on!
You may think it doesn't look too bad, however, I took this picture after washing them three times, oops!

Vintage Vogue gorgeous-ness....

These gorgeous items were made at a Stampin' Up workshop on Monday.  Helen does fab workshops and all the ladies were lovely (Betty's tea is especially good!)  The stamp set is called Vintage Vogue and it's gorgeous.  I've ordered some bits from the catalogue so I have those to look forward to in a week or so!  The ink used on the card was one of the new colours - Soft Suede, the colours are having a re vamp soon and I can't wait to see the new ones!
