Affirmation charms

"Developing a positive mindset is one of the most powerful life strategies there is. Using powerful positive thinking techniques, visualizations and positive affirmations, it is possible to achieve whatever you want."

A little deep maybe? well it's the inspiration for the latest tatty creations...
Clip them to a necklace, bracelet, purse or anything with a loop! They went down really well at the autumn fair so I'd better get cracking on some more for all of the events I have planned!

Phew...

This must be the first spare five minutes I've had all week!  Sunday was the fabulousplaces.co.uk Autumn Fair and it was a great day....

The pics aren't great as I took them in a bit of a rush!  You can see the addition of some twisted hazel which is home to the hanging hearts- they went down a storm!  It was great to see some familiar faces and some new ones too, I had some lovely comments about my products which makes it all worth it!

So thank you to my fabulous helper and head of catering (my Mum!) and to all that came to say hello.

I have lots more events in the run up to Christmas so check out the dates and venues here.

Flying the flag...

more like sewing the flag!  I dusted off the sewing machine and used the fabulous Union Jack fabric to make some flag tags!  They fit in perfectly with the Rule Britannia collection, see them at the Autumn Fair on Sunday!

Rule Britannia!

A selection of goodies from the new collection........

These button badges are made from a mixture of old, new, vintage and reclaimed buttons.  Inspired by the  'make do and mend' spirt of the 1940's and the colours in the Union Jack.  They fit in very well with the current trend for all things patriotic! Look out for more Rule Britannia goodies at the fabulousplaces.co.uk Autumn Fair this Sunday.

Ciao!

Mr B and I are back from our fabulous break in Venice

Possibly the most beautiful city in the world.  Lots of cappucinos, ice cream and pizza were consumed!

A short break in proceedings....

to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.  My, hasn't time flown by, in some ways it feels like we've been married forever and  in other ways it only seems like yesterday!

Isn't Britain great!

Having noticed the current trend for all things nostalgic and patriotic I found the exciting bits and bobs above.  I have some designs in mind, I just need to re-claim the family sewing machine!  Look out for the finished pieces at the Autumn Fair!

I *heart* makeovers...

As the season of goodwill is looming ever closer I decided to expand my gift/interiors range.  I picked up these fab shabby wooden hearts and although they look gorgeous just as they are, I thought I'd tattify them!
Here they are before...
and after...

They've each got a hint of colour and a decorative stamp.  Look out for them at the Autumn Fair!

One last day of freedom (Part 2)

After Hartington we went on to Biggin Hall for afternoon tea!
It's a gorgeous historic house with some lovely rooms decorated with fabulous old furniture and random knick-knacks.  It's set in some gorgeous grounds and we weren't the only ones to think so.  There was a photo shoot going on in the gardens with a 'bride' wearing a lovely white wedding dress with black leggings and flip flops! (obviously just a head and shoulders shoot?!)

One last day of freedom (Part 1)

Well the summer holidays are nearly over and that means no more mother/daughter Wednesdays!  The weather was kind to us today and Mum organised a fabulous day.
We started in Hartington and went to visit The Cheese Shop where I treated myself to a selection of cheeses, yum!  We had a look around an antique shop and admired the lovely village.  I was a great day.
