A lovely day at Shottle Hall...

Yesterday was the Christmas Market at Shottle Hall.  I had a fabulous day, nowhere near as chilly as it was last year; in fact the marquee was rather toasty!

Speaking of toast, the Tattered Rose Stand was next to The Loaf, a bakery, delicatessen and cafe in Crich.  I sampled several pieces from their stand, from mince pies to coconut macaroons to a selection of breads, my favourite being the cheese and onion focaccia!  I can report that they were all fantastic and will have to pay them a visit soon to re-stock!

It was also great to see the other lovely stands, including Jane Hemmings Millinery.  This stand had the most amazing fascinators and headbands alongside a new winter collection of neck wraps.
I have a bit of a scarf addiction and already have far too many but these are different (that’s what I told Mr B anyway!) It’s a good job I picked one early on as when I went back at the end of the day the table was nearly bare!

Sweet Words Stationary also had a lovely stand with amazing handmade brooches and decorations which I know went down a storm!  So all in all, a great day and lovely to see lots of visitors, regular and new, starting to recognise Tattered Rose!

Thanks as always go to my fabulous family for helping me out, I could not have done it without them!  Enforced sitting breaks were the order of the day for me as I get closer to D Day!

Runaway bestsellers............!

These handmade brooch pins with mini Stampbord™ charms were a huge success over the weekend.  Here is a sneak peek into how I put them together....

I love working with colour and my favourite part of making these pieces is coming up with the colour combinations and unique selections of beads and charms for each one.  I find inspiration everywhere and I’m often overloaded with ideas, hence the slightly chaotic approach in the way these pieces are created!
Some more are in the pipeline for this weekend’s Christmas Market at Shottle Hall!

A most FABULOUS Christmas Market!

I’m just recovering after a very busy weekend at the Christmas Market!  As predicted it was amazing, full of great food and gift stalls, lots of shoppers and a sprinkling of Christmas spirit!

I had the chance to do a little browsing and even some shopping of my name but a few...... The Greenery for beautiful flowers, wreaths and decorations, Jackie Thompson Couture’s fantastic handmade Liberty print corsets and cute bow ties, Butterworth Photography’s lovely, relaxed lifestyle portraits, Delightful Living’s gorgeous vintage signs and paper wreaths, Button Bakery’s amazing French macaroons in a million different flavours and colours (too nice to eat!).....

Lily Mosaic's fabulous handmade mosaic decorations, accessories and jewellery, Rosa Ribbons' handpicked selection of decorations and gifts, Darby & Joan’s elegant vintage cups, saucers, cake stands along with candle filled vintage china and of course, Lavender Grey’s amazing stall in the centre of the Roundhouse, a full on Christmas spectacular!

I now have a week of refreshing stock ready for the Shottle Hall Christmas Market on Sunday!  If you’ve never been, Shottle Hall is a lovely venue and the list of exhibitors is a wonderful mix of local food producers and unique gift ideas. I’d better get making!
